Welcome to Serendipity! We are located in the heart of Central Texas just outside of Waco. Serendipity means "happy accident". We chose this name because it fit our road to where we are today. It all began with our young daughter overcoming her fear of dogs and using her birthday money to buy her very own sheltie. Skip ahead to when that same daughter grew up and headed to college leaving us empty nesters. What started out with one show dog to occupy the weekends has grown into a small kennel on 6 acres.
Along the journey, we've met many wonderful people. Margaret Locke of Lockehill Shelties gave us our first girl, Stella, who is the dam of our first homebred champion CH Lockehill Tis Serendipity "Wendy". Margaret has been a source of knowledge and conscience when needed.
Dan and Allana Hemenway of Atwater Shelties have been wonderful friends who have guided us when we needed help or just an ear to vent into.
There are no words to express how much we love Guy and Thelma Mauldin of Kismet Shelties. They have been so much more than mentors; they have become family. Most of our shelties are either co-owned or co-bred with them. Their line runs deep at Serendipity. And will for many years to come.
Occasionally we do have shelties available for pet/companion homes.
